G.E.M.

In the depths of all humans; man woman and child
Lies a Green-Eyed Monster attempting to hide
If he's well fed and cared for, then all may be well
If you neglect him, he'll make your life hell

When he's feeling anxious; the things he can do...
Will shock and amaze, and mystify you
He feeds on your fears, to make him feel strong
He increases his hold, when things start going wrong

His attitude stinks, of me me and me
With a voice so loud, he won't let you see
As he pokes and he digs, in the depths of your mind
He's desperately searching and hopes he will find

An action, a reason, a way to remain
Unchanged and contented;to be free from all pain
He'll cut off your nose in spite of your face
He'll hurt those you love, why not, just in case

Perhaps they don't love you, let's see if it's true
If you anger and hurt them, let's see what they do
He cries for attention for someone to care
If you don't re-dress him...no one will be there!
