Automatic writing is different from inspirational writing in that when done, the writer doesn't know the content of the writing, until they read it; whereas inspirational writing is done as the words form in the mind of the writer.
June-Elleni Laine appeared in a CH4TV documentary in December 2008 with Tony Robinson, which investigated the phenomenon of Automatic writing; she was asked to teach Tony Robinson how to achieve automatic writing with very sucessful results.
